The MACH application is built to provide safe and effective HIV information without compromising your anonymity.

No Information Collection: By design, the MACH chatbot does not collect, store, or record your personal health data, transcriptions, or summaries of your conversations.
No Cookies: Unlike many digital services, the MACH platform does not use cookies to track your behavior, distinguish you from other users, or store your activity.
Anonymity: You can access HIV support and information without creating an account or providing identifiable details to our model.

While the chatbot itself is anonymous, we may collect information in the following limited circumstances:

2.1 Direct Contact (The "Contact Us" Page)

If you choose to contact us directly via the Contact Us page on machhealth.co.uk, or via email/telephone, we may collect:

  • Your name and contact details (email address or phone number).
  • A record of your correspondence to help us address your inquiry.

No information is collected during the use of the MACH chatbot. Personally Identifiable Information is not collected.

3. How we use your information

We will only use the personal information provided via the "Contact Us" page or donations to:

  • Respond to Inquiries: Provide the specific information or resources you requested.
  • Improve Services: Understand how to improve our resources based on general feedback.

Note: We never sell or share your personal details with third parties for their marketing purposes.

No Chat Storage

Because MACH does not store transcripts or letters, there is no risk of consultation data being leaked from our system.

  • Right of Access: You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you. Due to security, access requests must be sent by post to The Data Protection Officer at our London address.
  • Right of Erasure: You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

At MACH, we strive to meet the highest standards when collecting, protecting and using personal information. For this reason, we take any complaints we may receive about this very seriously.
